Prefab Log Homes: What’s the deal?

A recent innovation with log homes has been the emergence of prefab log homes (prefabricated log homes). These homes are constructed in sections away from the actual build site, and they are often manufactured in groups of five or ten. The home manufacturer is able to save the consumer money when they manufacture prefab log homes, as it costs them less to build in a controlled environment.

The homeowner receives a quality product- their home is completed as the pre-built sections are installed on site. They are able to experience many of the same advantages with a prefab log home as they would be with a traditional home: they can take out a mortgage, and their home will increase in value according to the local real estate economy. A prefab log home is different than a mobile home or manufactured home, as it looks and acts as a regular house when all of the sections are installed on site.
