Go Portable with Portable Log Cabins

Yes it sounds crazy, portable log cabins. Roll it around on your tongue once to get the idea in your head. With such an interest in log homes being shown in the last decade, I guess it was only a matter of time before somebody came up with the mobile home counterpart in the log building industry.

One website I came across described a portable log cabin as, “So easy to move, it’s ridiculous.” Well ridiculous describes it all right, as immediately next to that phrase is a picture displaying a crane placing a portable log cabin into position. I guess you set it up one day, and then when you decide to redecorate your yard, you can just hop into your own personal crane and easily move your portable log cabin to whatever location you desire. For those of us without cranes, there are plenty of contracting companies willing to do the job for us, for a fee just about equal to the cost of a portable log cabin. When the name portable log cabin was decided upon did they really intend these things to be portable, or were they just referring to the ease in which they would be able to deliver it?
