Country Log Cabins: Bring Back the West
Is it just me, or are most log cabins themed as if the Wild West had never packed up camp and left town? Every time I walk into a country log cabin I am immediately bombarded with western-themed furniture, decor, and even the cliché Home Sweet Country Home floor mats at the entrance.
I'm sorry, but isn't there another way to decorate a country log home?
You know, what about some contemporary art, dark wood furniture, or interior lighting effects (such as pot or LED lights)? And would it kill someone to just come out and say that the cookie jars the one that every country log cabin seems to have are just ugly, okay, and have no place in anyone's home. Here's an idea: let's take all of the ugly, outdated decor that is feature in so many log cabins and find it a new home at the dumpster. Heck, most of the furniture looks as if it has been around since the 60's anyway.
You may hate me now, but your kids are definitely thanking me.
